<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penatan pojok baca yang memperhatikan nilai estetika mempengaruhi minat baca 20 siswa SMP Negeri 11 Kota Kupang. Komponen estetika yang diuji meliputi pemilihan warna, tata letak buku, dan kenyamanan furnitur. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi partisipasi selama 4 minggu setelah pojok baca direnovasi dengan sentuhan ekstetika modern (penggunaan warna cerah, bean bag, dan klasifikasi buku yang artistik). Teori yang digunakan adalah teori <em>Environment-Behavior Relations </em>(Hidayat,A.,& Setyowati,E. 2020) yang menyatakan bahwa perilaku manusia sangat dipengaruhi oleh karakter lingkunganya. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan yang indah dan tertata secara visual meningkatkan durasi kunjungan dan frekuensi membaca siswa secara signifikan karena dapat berpengaruh pada (1) Psikologi warna terhadap fokus siswa; (2) Estetika sebagai pemicu motivasi intrinsik; (3) Interaksi sosial di pojok baca yang estetik; (4) Dampak pada siswa dengan karakter berbeda. <p>This study examines the role of Boti women in preserving the ikat weaving tradition in Boti Village, South Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Ikat weaving is a cultural heritage that holds not only aesthetic value but also serves as a marker of female identity within the social structure of the Boti community. Using an ethnographic approach with in-depth interview and participant observation techniques, this research identifies three dimensions of women's roles in preserving ikat weaving: (1) the ritual role through the Noina ceremony as an intergenerational transmission of weaving knowledge; (2) the economic role of ikat weaving as a pillar of household welfare; and (3) the social identity role in which weaving proficiency becomes a prerequisite for female adulthood and marriageability in Boti. The findings indicate that Boti women are not merely tradition practitioners but primary agents who actively reproduce, transmit, and sustain weaving knowledge along with its cultural value system. The Noina ritual, lasting up to seven days, serves as a specialized mechanism that symbolically and functionally unites Boti women with weaving tools. <p>This research focuses on the forms, functions, and meanings of utterances in the Hopong Ngae tradition of the community of Uinao Timur Hamlet, Huilelot Village, Semau District. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms, functions, and meanings of utterances found in the Hopong Ngae tradition. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, recording, note-taking and documentation. The study refers to the theory of cultural linguistics as well as the SPEAKING components proposed by Dell Hymes as the basis for analysis.The results of the study show that the utterances in the Hopong Ngae tradition consist of three forms, namely the opening form, the main content (core) form and the closing form. These utterances have four functions: informational function, expressive function, persuasive function and interactional function. In addition, the utterances in the Hopong Ngae tradition also contain lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, contextual meaning and symbolic meaning that reflect the values of gratitude, togetherness and respect for God and others in the life of the community.</p>Angel Selvina AduLabu DjuliNarantoputrayadi Makan Malay

<p>This study aims to analyze the use of lexical cohesion in the abstracts of theses written by students majoring in Indonesian language and literature in the 2021 cohort. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, and the data in this study were collected through reading, note-taking, categorization, conclusion, and data presentation techniques in coding cards. The theory used in this study is the theory of cohesion based on the perspectives of Halladay and Hasan. The results of the study show that the use of lexical cohesion, which consists of six categories, namely repetition, synonymy, antonymy, hyponymy, collocation, and equivalence, increases the coherence of the abstract through the connection between linguistic elements and clarifies the meaning strategically, as well as enriching the message or information concisely and clearly in the abstract.</p>Lazarus WattiSemuel H. <p>This study analyzes the narrative structure of the legend of Mount Mutis in South Central Timor Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe the narrative structure of the legend of Mount Mutis in South Central Timor Regency. The theory used is Seymour Chatman's narrative structure theory. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are interview techniques, recording techniques, note-taking techniques, determining kernels and satellites, tabulating data or entering all data into coding cards, and determining textual sequences, logical sequences, chronological sequences, characters and settings. Data analysis techniques used in this study are, translating data, sorting data, determining characters (figures and characterizations), determining settings and concluding data based on data analysis. Data was identified using Seymour Chatman's Narrative Structure theory, which included textual sequence, logical sequence, chronological sequence, characters, and setting. The analyzed data presentation technique will be described verbally, using words rather than numbers. The results of the study indicate that the textual sequence of the story above is described sequentially, starting with the initial development of the story or major premise and continuing to the minor premise. The logical sequence has five kernels and is explained coherently. The chronological sequence uses a forward flow, beginning with the beginning, middle, and end of the legend of Mount Mutis. <p><em>Accurate citation is an important element in scientific writing because it relates to academic integrity, source transparency, and the credibility of a scientific work. This study aims to identify various forms of citation errors found in scientific articles and explain their impact on the academic quality of writing. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review type of research. The research data was obtained from several scientific articles in the fields of education and Indonesian language published in the last five to ten years. The data collection technique was carried out through documentation studies, while data analysis used content analysis techniques, which included data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and descriptive data presentation. The results of the study show that there are still various errors in the use of citations in scientific articles, including errors in the format of citation writing, inconsistencies between quotations in the text and the bibliography, references that cannot be found, and quotations that are not relevant to the content of the discussion.</em></p>Muthia Ayyuni Helmi

<p>The focus of this research is adjusted to the formulation of the problem discussed in the study, namely how is the ability to write procedural texts for class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 8 West Sabu. There are two aspects, namely, (1) The structure of the text is divided into (Goals, Steps, Reaffirmation). (2) The linguistic rules are divided into (command verbs, persuasive statements, conjunctions and adverbs). The theory used in this study is the theory of writing is a communication activity in the form of delivering messages (information) in writing to parties using written language as a tool or medium. The method used is qualitative research, one of the research procedures that results in the writing or behavior of students being observed.</p> <p>Based on the average score obtained by the class in the structure of the procedure text, there are 9 students with code names AB, DAS, DK, GJB, IN, MAT, NAO, PST, RDR having very good categories, there are 6 students with code names of students AAB, AA, FJT, GMA, MZB, MAO have good categories, there is 1 person with the code name of the TRB student in the fairly good category, there are 4 people with the student code name AB, DAS, DSM, GMA, GJB, MAT, MZB, YMGS, SAD who have a poor category. From various aspects in the structure of the text above, there are 16 students who complete and 4 students who do not complete.</p> <p> Based on the average score obtained by the class using linguistic rules, there are 2 students with code names of GM students, LMR has a very good category, there are 8 students with code names of students AFM, AHD, KKL, DAR, JDT, KPT, MRL, MDM have good category, there is 1 person with the code name of the DKK student in the fairly good category, there are 9 people with the student code name AVR, BRK, CJD, EHR, FKH, IL, JL, RHW, SAD who have a poor category.</p> <p>Based on the linguistic rules, there were 11 students who completed and 9 students who did not complete. So, the number of students who completed based on the structure of the text and linguistic rules were 14 students, and students who did not complete. <p>The focus of this study is <em>“How is the Use of Media Image of Lasiana Beach Tourist Attractions in the Poerty Writing skills of Class VIII SMP Negeri 20 Kupang.”</em> The purpose of this study is to describe students’ ability in writing poetry through the use of image media. The theory applied in this research is writing theory, as it is beneficial for developing thinking skills, managing emotions, increasing creativity, supporting problem-solving abilities, and providing personal satisfaction. Writing activities aim to encourage students to express their feelings and convey information. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. In this research, the researcher selected poetry writing material by developing the Merdeka Curriculum applied in Grade VIII during the odd semester, Phase D 4.2. Students were able to write poetry using appropriate aspects. Poetry is a form of literary art used to express feelings and imagination through written language. Based on the analysis conducted on 22 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 20 Kupang, the students were considered capable of writing poetry by paying attention to writing rules and aspects. These results can be seen from the percentage of achievement, which shows a success rate of 7.918%. Students were able to write poetry with scores ranging from 70 to 100. <p><em>This research focuses on the narrative writing ability of eleventh-grade students at SMK Negeri 8 Kupang using the mind mapping method. The purpose of this study is to describe students’ ability in writing narrative texts by paying attention to the structure and linguistic features of narrative texts. The theory applied in this research is writing theory, as the aspects analyzed relate to students’ ability to develop ideas, organize story plots, and use appropriate linguistic elements through their written work. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study was conducted on 26 students of class XI TJKT 3 at SMK Negeri 8 Kupang. The data were collected through a performance test in the form of a narrative writing task based on mind mapping created by the students. Data analysis focused on the narrative text structure, including orientation, complication, and resolution, as well as linguistic features such as the use of action verbs, mental verbs, time and place adverbs, chronological conjunctions, point of view, and cohesion and coherence. The results show that the narrative writing ability of students is categorized as fairly good, with an average score of 77.56. A total of 16 students or 61.54% achieved mastery, while 10 students or 38.46% did not meet the minimum mastery criteria. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the narrative writing ability of eleventh-grade students at SMK Negeri 8 Kupang using mind mapping is generally fairly good, although several aspects still need improvement.</em></p>Arwadi TalanKarus M. <h2>This study aims to describe language acquisition in five-year-old children in Oelnasi Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency, which includes the acquisition of Dawan Language, Indonesian Language, and Kupang Malay Language. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a psycholinguistic approach, particularly the behavioristic theory. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving children and their parents. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that five-year-old children in Oelnasi Village have acquired the three languages at different levels. Dawan Language acquisition occurs through family interaction and social environment, Indonesian Language is acquired through formal contexts and education, while Kupang Malay Language is acquired through daily social interactions. Language acquisition in children is influenced by environmental factors, stimuli, and reinforcement from parents and the surrounding community. <p><em>This study aims to examine or determine the number of errors or deviations in language politeness in humans when communicating with others. This research focused on children at the Rosa Mistika Girls' Dormitory in East Penfui Village because in everyday life, there are various forms of speech that are interesting to study, such as how they give advice, reprimand friends, ask for help, and respond to conversations while maintaining politeness. The research method used was qualitative. Data collection techniques included observation, photography, audio recording, and the free listening technique. Data analysis included data tabulation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. <p><em>The focus of this research is “How is the Ability to Write Observation Report Texts among Tenth-Grade Students of SMA Negeri 8 Kupang City?” This study aims to describe the competence of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 8 Kupang City in writing observation report texts. The study is based on the theoretical foundation of writing skills, specifically focused on the construction of observation report texts as the primary measurement instrument. By applying a qualitative descriptive methodology, the researcher analyzed students’ mastery of observation report texts, which are a type of text presenting factual, systematic, and objective data obtained through direct observation. The empirical findings from the data analysis of 25 respondents indicate that the students’ ability to compose such texts, while considering structural aspects and applicable linguistic features, has reached the competent category. This is evidenced by the results showing that 17 students, or 68%, achieved mastery learning by meeting the minimum passing criterion (KKM) of 75 or above, while 8 students, or 32%, did not achieve mastery learning or failed to meet the KKM.</em></p>Morgan Ibrahim Filmon SeseliSamuel H. <p>This study aims to examine the influence of gadget use on elementary school children's concentration levels and learning interest through a qualitative strategy based on a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This analysis combines principles of Educational Technology, Educational Psychology, and Developmental Psychology to explore the relationship between digital technology and early childhood learning patterns. Data is sourced from 10 scientific publications from 2020–2026, processed through a gradual process of searching, filtering, critical appraisal, and reorganization. Key findings reveal the dual nature of gadgets' impact: beneficial aspects are seen when these devices are used as interactive teaching aids, capable of stimulating students' motivation, interest, and conceptual mastery. However, detrimental effects arise when uncontrolled use occurs, such as reduced focus, increased distraction, and children's preference for entertainment over schoolwork. Furthermore, excessive use can potentially hinder children's cognitive development and social interaction. Therefore, parents and educators need to play a proactive role in guiding and limiting gadget use to align with educational goals. <p><em>Penelitian ini mengkaji puisi "Sungai" karya Joko Pinurbo dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika struktural Ferdinand de Saussure. Puisi sebagai suatu sistem tanda, menciptakan makna melalui hubungan antara penanda dan petanda dalam konteks nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dan budaya. Hingga saat ini, belum ada peneliti yang secara khusus menganalisis puisi "Sungai" dengan pendekatan semiotika, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi celah tersebut. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi adanya penghubung penanda dan petanda, serta menyoroti makna simbolik yang terkait dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dan budaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simbolisme sungai dalam puisi ini mewakili doa ibu, perjalanan hidup anak, serta hubungan emosional yang mendalam antara ibu dan anak yang melampaui ruang dan waktu. <p>This study aims to determine and describe the ability to write short story texts of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Amanuban Timur. The focus of this study is to escribe the ability of students to write short story texts, such as orientation, resulatation, and resulatation by emphasizing the intrinsic and intirinsic elements contained in the writing. The research method used Is a qualitative descriptive method, by collecting data through short story text analysis and povididng performance tests showing that most students are in the capable category, with a totalof 19 students, 67,89%are considered capableof writing short stories, while stdetnstwhoareinthe unablecategory number9 students,namely32,2%. Factors that in flunce the ability to write short stories include interesetand reading. <p><em>This study aims to analyze environmental representation in news texts through ecolinguistics and Critical Discourse Analysis. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method using reports on land clearing in Sikirang Tarabintang and protected forest fires around Lake Toba as data. The findings show that the land-clearing report tends to construct a positive image through diction, framing, and ideology that emphasize food security, legality, and economic benefits, while ecological impacts receive less attention. In contrast, the forest fire report portrays nature as a damaged entity that requires protection. In conclusion, media language is not neutral, but plays a role in shaping public perceptions of the environment, either by legitimizing environmental exploitation or by strengthening ecological awareness. </em></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> ecolinguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, framing, ideology, environment.</em></p>Muthia Ayyuni Helmi

<p><em>This study was motivated by the uneven student participation in Indonesian language learning on poetry material. Although the teacher had used strategies, media, and learning activities directed toward active learning, some students still tended to be passive when asked to ask questions, respond, or express their opinions. This study aimed to describe Indonesian language learning strategies in increasing student participation in poetry learning in grade XI at SMA Negeri 13 Kota Jambi. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects consisted of one Indonesian language teacher and 20 grade XI students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the teacher implemented learning strategies through the delivery of learning objectives, the use of PowerPoint and video media, and the connection of poetry material with students’ experiences. However, student participation remained situational and had not developed evenly. Therefore, learning strategies need to be optimized through guiding questions, directed discussions, and reflective feedback to encourage more active student participation in learning.</em></p>Vira AfianiAgum ShohefiHelty

<p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika sosial dan nilai pendidikan dalam novel Bandung Menjelang Pagi karya Brian Khrisna. Novel ini menggambarkan berbagai permasalahan kehidupan masyarakat, seperti hubungan sosial, konflik antartokoh, perjuangan hidup, serta nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang tercermin dalam perilaku tokoh-tokohnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari kutipan-kutipan dalam novel yang berkaitan dengan dinamika sosial dan pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik baca dan catat, sedangkan teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasi, menganalisis, dan menarik kesimpulan dari data yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dinamika sosial dalam novel meliputi interaksi sosial, konflik sosial, solidaritas, dan perubahan perilaku tokoh akibat kondisi lingkungan. Selain itu, novel ini juga mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan, seperti nilai moral, tanggung jawab, kerja keras, kepedulian sosial, dan sikap menghargai sesama.</p>Organita Nainggolan

<p>This study aims to investigate the inner conflict of the protagonist in the drama Aku dan Hidupku by M. Alfin Zubaidi and colleagues using a psychoanalytic approach according to Sigmund Freud. In this drama, there is the character of Farid, a 15-year-old boy who is struggling with leukemia and facing various mental stress due to lack of attention from his family. The methodology applied in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with a focus on psychoanalysis, which explores the structure of the character's psyche based on Freud's three main pillars: id, ego, and superego. Primary data sources come from the drama text Aku dan Hidupku, while secondary data include literature relevant to psychoanalytic theory and drama studies. The research findings show that the character of Farid is involved in a complex inner conflict between the drives of the id (the desire for affection, denial of the disease he suffers), ego (Farid's reaction to social reality), and superego (moral awareness strengthened by interactions with the spirit of Karina). This conflict culminates in a psychological change of the character from a state of despair to an understanding of the meaning of life. This study confirms that the drama script Aku dan Hidupku is rich in psychological elements that can be studied more deeply using Freud's psychoanalytic theory.</p>Hagai Panjaitan

<p><em>Partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat SMP masih menjadi tantangan, khususnya pada siswa kelas VII yang sedang bertransisi dari sekolah dasar dan rentan mengalami kecemasan sosial. Banyak siswa cenderung menunggu instruksi guru sebelum merespons, enggan mengangkat tangan, dan kurang berani menyampaikan pendapat, sehingga mencerminkan rendahnya inisiatif belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengidentifikasi faktor internal yang melatarbelakangi rendahnya inisiatif siswa kelas VII dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, (2) menganalisis faktor eksternal yang turut berkontribusi, serta (3) mendeskripsikan upaya guru dalam menangani permasalahan tersebut. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini berlandaskan pada konsep inisiatif belajar sebagai kemampuan memulai kegiatan belajar secara mandiri tanpa menunggu dorongan dari pihak lain yang erat kaitannya dengan kemandirian belajar dan partisipasi aktif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung terstruktur, wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur, dan kajian dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi, dengan keabsahan data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber dan member checking. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya inisiatif siswa disebabkan oleh interaksi faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi kurangnya kepercayaan diri, kecemasan berbicara di depan umum, motivasi belajar yang rendah, dan keberagaman tipe kepribadian. Faktor eksternal meliputi metode mengajar yang belum memancing respons spontan, keterbatasan media interaktif, gangguan lingkungan, serta pengelolaan kelas yang belum merata. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan inisiatif siswa memerlukan pendekatan holistik mencakup strategi pembelajaran inovatif seperti pembelajaran kooperatif dan think-pair-share, ketersediaan fasilitas memadai, serta pembangunan iklim belajar yang aman secara psikologis.</em></p>Nabila Nabila SyahdiResi Claudya PuspitaHelty

<p>This research is motivated by the changes in meaning that occur in the digital space. As time goes by and social and cultural developments have created new meanings in the digital space. This triggering various changes in meaning in the comment column of the Ruang Guru Academy of Champions episode 2 YouTube. The problem in this study is how the form of change in meaning in the comment column of the Ruang Guru Academy of Champions episode 2 YouTube and what factors cause changes in meaning. This study aims to explore and elaborate on the form of change in meaning in the comment column of the Ruang Guru Academy of Champions episode 2 YouTube. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with the content analysis method. The data in this study are the main comments that contain changes in meaning. The data source in this study is the Ruang Guru Academy of Champions Episode 2 YouTube. Data collection techniques in this study are documentation techniques, reading techniques, note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are coding, classification, analyzing and finding relationships and compiling a draft report. The results of this study found 87 changes in meaning, changes in meaning expanded 51 data, narrowed 3 data, total changes 32 data and roughing 1 data. The conclusion of this study is that the most dominant changes in meaning extend, amounting to 51 data points, and one change in meaning, namely refinement, was not found. The most dominant factor causing changes in meaning is social development, with several other factors missing. <p><em>This study aims to describe Indonesian language learning strategies in increasing student activeness at SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi using biographical text material. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with Indonesian language teachers, and documentation. The results show that teachers implement Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategies combined with varied methods including lectures, questions and answers, discussions, practice, and simulation. This strategy is proven effective in encouraging student activeness, as evidenced by the fulfillment of all 20 observation indicators across five components: learning planning, learning implementation, student activities, learning media, and evaluation. Obstacles encountered include low reading interest, regional language interference, and the influence of gadgets. These findings indicate that PBL with adaptive media and structured evaluation can increase student activeness in Indonesian language learning.</em></p>Gina Azzahrah

<p><span dir="auto" style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span dir="auto" style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span dir="auto" style="vertical-align: inherit;"><span dir="auto" style="vertical-align: inherit;">Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk struktur teks rekonsiliasi di kelas X E9 SMA Negeri 13 Kota Jambi dan menganalisis tingkat keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu guru bahasa Indonesia dan 23 siswa kelas X E9. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah menyusun dan melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan cukup baik, menggunakan papan tulis sebagai media utama, dan menciptakan suasana kelas yang kondusif. Namun keterlibatan siswa masih bersifat situasional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan pertanyaan yang merangsang, diskusi terarah, dan umpan balik reflektif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. </span></span></span></span></p> <p> </p>mayasari dewi
